  • Description
This suite of nine movements was composed by Finger for the 1701 Drury Lane production of Alexander the Great, which was an adaptation of Nathaniel Lee's 1675 play, The Rival Queens. After an overture in the French style come eight shorter movements, whose repeat patterns afford ample opportunity for ornamentation.
Edited by Brian Clark.
16pp.
Scoring: 2 violins, viola, continuo. (Will also work with wind instruments.)
