Both halves begin with a chorus and end with a chorale; the first Da Capo aria features an alto soloist with 2 flutes and strings, while in the second, a tenor is accompanied by 2 oboes and strings. Both accompanied recitatives feature all four voices. The edition also includes a lengthy introduction, detailing the first service in which the cantata was performed.
