A short religious cantata for the Feast of the Purification of Mary (2nd February, also known as Candlemas), rejoicing in the Christian's death in Christ, comprising two arias (SA) separated by a recitative (B) and followed by a setting of the Passion chorale.
Attributed in the original source simply to "Graun".
