  • Description

Edited by Brian Clark.
12pp.
Scoring: Strings and continuo. Oboes might (selectively) double the violins, and bassoon the bass.
Stanley's oratorio "Zimri" (to words by John Hawkesworth, c.1715 – November 16, 1773) was first performed at Covent Garden in London in 1760. Only the printed score and libretto have survived; the former contains only the overture and solo numbers from the work, so a complete performance is impossible.
